Surveys are imperative to buying a home. Not only does a boundary survey show you where your property lines are, it will uncover and easements or encroachments that are on the property. Per the contract, there will typically be a 25-day deadline to bring any issues or concerns to the seller before those issues become the responsibility of the buyer. A boundary survey will range from $500-700 depending on the size of the lot.
